Seven Sisters (colleges)

society Maturity 7-9 Next article →

Seven special schools are called the Seven Sisters. They help women learn many things. Long ago, men had more chances to learn. These schools changed that.

These schools were made in the 1800s. They wanted women to have a great education. This was the same as what men had. They wanted things to be fair.

The name comes from a story about stars. There are seven stars in a group. These schools share that name.

Some of these schools are still for women. Others now let both men and women join. They still work together today. It is a very special group of schools.
