Some words used to be very good. The word awful used to mean something grand. Now, it means something very bad.

The word nice was once used for silly people. Later, it meant being very careful. Now, it means being kind.

One word, guy, came from a man named Guy Fawkes. It used to mean a person who looks strange. Now, we use it for any man.
