Some sci-fi films are about giant monsters. In 1954, a Japanese film called Godzilla became very popular. This film used special effects to show a huge monster. Later, movies like Star Wars became huge hits. They used big budgets and many effects. Some sci-fi films feel dark and scary. Others, like E.T., show aliens that are kind and friendly. These movies help us think about big ideas. They ask how people live and what the future might be like.
