Long ago, people in Rwanda had many fights. Groups called Hutu and Tutsi did not get along. This was often because of unfair rules.

In 1994, a very sad thing happened. Many people were hurt during this time. It lasted for about 100 days.

Many people had to leave their homes. They moved to other lands to stay safe.

Later, a group called the RPF helped stop the fighting. They won the war and brought peace.

Today, Rwanda has special days to remember those lost. They work hard to be kind to one another.
