The word plastic comes from a Greek word. It means the art of modeling. This refers to reshaping soft flesh. There are two main types of this work. One type is reconstructive surgery. This helps a body part work better. It can fix burns or broken bones. The other type is cosmetic surgery. This focuses only on how a person looks.
