She was a star in the 1950s. She sang pop and country music. Many people loved her songs. She sold over 100 million records during her long career.

Page did something new in the studio. She used a way called overdubbing. This means she recorded her voice many times. She layered the sounds on top of each other. This made it sound like a group was singing. Some people called her the Patti Page Quartet. This helped her make many hit songs.

One of her biggest hits was "Tennessee Waltz." It was a very big success. The song sold 7 million copies in the early 1950s. It is now an official song for the state of Tennessee. Another fun song was "(How Much Is That) Doggie in the Window?" This song had the sound of a dog barking. It was very popular with children.

Page sang for six decades. She was one of the few singers to have hits in five different decades. She even won a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2013.
