It sits next to the North Sea. To the north-west, it borders Lincolnshire and The Wash. To the south, it sits by Suffolk. The land is mostly flat and green. Much of it is used for farming. Farmers grow wheat, barley, and sugar beet.

There are many interesting parts of the land. The Broads are a group of rivers and lakes. They are almost like a national park. In the south, there is Thetford Forest. In the west, there are the Fens. The coast has cliffs made of clay and chalk. These cliffs can wash away into the sea.

Many people visit Norfolk for fun. This is called tourism. It helps the local economy. The city of Norwich is the largest place. It is in the centre-east of the county.
