Many people know the song "My Way." It began as a French song called "Comme d'habitude." A songwriter named Paul Anka heard the music in France. He went to Paris to buy the rights to the song. He wrote new English words for the singer Frank Sinatra.

Anka wanted the words to sound like Sinatra. He wrote about living life in a certain way. Sinatra recorded the song in just one take in 1968. It became a huge hit in the UK. The song stayed on the charts for 75 weeks. This was a very long time.

Other famous singers have made the song their own. Elvis Presley sang it in big shows. A punk singer named Sid Vicious made a fast version. The song is also used for karaoke. Some people play it at funerals to remember a life. It can even be used as a nickname for big political ideas. The song remains famous all over the world.
