You can even pull a piece of cloth through a ring!

Long ago, the best muslin came from Bengal. It was made in places like Dhaka and Sonargaon. Makers used a special cotton plant called Phuti karpas. This plant grew in Bangladesh. They made very fine yarn to weave the cloth. This made the muslin famous all over the world. In the 1700s, Bengal was the top seller of muslin.

Later, the industry began to fade. Cheap cloth from England made it hard to compete. But people did not want to lose this art. Now, makers in India and Bangladesh are bringing it back. They use new tools and old secrets. In India, workers made a special spinning wheel. They call it an Ambar Charkha. It helps them make very fine yarn. In Bangladesh, experts found the old cotton plants again. Today, this beautiful craft is being reborn.
