We can still see his impact on the world today. His stories changed how people write novels forever. Many people celebrate his memory every year. In fact, the day he died is used for World Book Day. This is because he died in April 1616. He is buried at the Convent of the Barefoot Trinitarians in Madrid. His life shows how great art can come from hard times.

Today, the legacy of Cervantes connects to global culture and literature. He died on April 22, 1616, and was buried in the Convent of the Bareft Trinitarians in Madrid.
