She was known for using bright colors and bold shapes. This style was very new for her time. She used colors that were not always natural. This helped her work stand out.

Blair worked for the Walt Disney Company for many years. She made art for films like Cinderella and Peter Pan. She also worked on Alice in Wonderland. Some people found her colors hard to use at first. But her ideas changed how movies looked.

Mary traveled to South America with Walt Disney. She saw many new people and places there. She used these sights to make new art. Her paintings of children inspired the It's a Small World ride. This ride is found in Disney parks all over the world.

She also made art for children's books. Some of these books are still in print today. She even made large tile murals for hotels. In 1991, she became a Disney Legend. This is a special honor for great people. Her colorful work still inspires artists today.
