Many living things call this place home. The area is full of life. Scientists found new birds and plants there. They even found a new bird species! Many animals live in the Foja Mountains nearby. You might see crocodiles in the water. You might see birds like the cassowary. People live in the valley too. They hunt and fish to live. They also grow food like sweet potatoes and bananas. The river is very special because it has no dams. This helps the many plants and animals stay safe.
