It uses pasta and cheese sauce. Most people use cheddar cheese. Some people call it "comfort food."

Many people make it in a dish in the oven. Others use a pan on the stove. You can even use a box to make it fast. A man named Grant Leslie helped make these boxes. He used rubber bands to attach cheese to pasta. This led to the Kraft brand in 1937. In Canada, people call it Kraft Dinner or KD. It is very popular there. Some say it is the national dish of Canada. Canadians buy millions of these boxes every week.

Different places have their own ways to eat it. In Scotland, you might find it in a pie. In Switzerland, people eat Älplermagronen. This dish uses macaroni, cream, cheese, and onions. Some people even add potatoes or bacon. You can also find macaroni and cheese on a pizza!
