The city of Krasnodar is the main center.

Many people live here. In 2021, there were over 5.8 million people. The north has flat land called a steppe. The south has high mountains. Some peaks are very tall. Mount Tsakhvoa is the highest peak. The mountains help block cold winds from the north. This makes the coast warm and nice. Many people go there for trips. Sochi is a famous city that hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics.

History is very old here. Long ago, Greek cities like Phanagoria were built.
