Today, Krasnodar is a massive economic hub. It has the largest annual turnover in the Southern Federal District. In 2010, retail trade turnover reached 290 billion rubles. The industrial sector includes more than 130 large and medium enterprises. Agriculture and the food industry make up 42.8% of this sector. The energy sector accounts for 13.4%. Fuel industry makes up 10.5%. Machine construction is 9.4%. The city also has a very low unemployment rate of 0.3%. 
Visitors can find many famous sights throughout the city. Krasnaya Street is the main central street. It features the Triumphal Arch and the Avrora cinema center. Theater Square holds the largest splash fountain in Europe.
