It is a very busy place. It is the only state in Nigeria that touches ten other states. This makes it a key part of the country.

Kogi is known as the "Confluence State." This is because two big rivers meet there. The River Niger and the River Benue flow into each other near the capital, Lokoja. The map shows where these rivers meet.

Many different groups of people live in Kogi. They speak many languages, like Ebira, Igala, and Yoruba. People here follow many faiths, including Islam and Christianity.

Most people work in farming. They grow crops like cocoa, yams, and coffee. They also raise animals like cattle and goats. The state has big factories, too. One makes steel and another makes cement.

Visitors can see many neat things. They can hike on hills or visit Mount Patti. Some people even travel from Abuja to see the rivers. It is a place full of life and history.
