He helped invent the television. Many people call him the father of Japanese television.

In 1925, Kenjiro began to study this new technology. He used a spinning disk to scan pictures. This made electrical signals. But he did something very new. He used a cathode ray tube to show the signal. This tube helped make the first all-electronic television set.

On December 25, 1926, he showed his work at a school. He showed a picture of a Japanese character. This character had 40 scan lines. This was months before other people made similar tools.

Kenjiro worked for many big companies. He worked at NHK and JVC. At JVC, he became the vice president. He helped make color television. He also made a video tape recorder. This machine used two heads to record video. In 1984, he started a foundation to study electronics. He was a very important leader in his field.
