Bach also traveled a long way on foot to learn from other great masters. He wanted to learn how to play the organ and write complex music.

Bach wrote many kinds of music. He wrote for the organ and the harpsichord. He also wrote music for large groups of players called orchestras. He was a master of counterpoint. This is a way of writing music where different melodies play at once.
