Jahm was a man with big ideas. He lived a long time ago. He lived in a place called Merv. Jahm had many thoughts about God. He thought God did not speak. This was a new idea to many people. He also thought God made everything happen. For example, he said God makes the sun set. Many scholars did not like his ideas. They had big debates with him in mosques. Some people even wrote books to say he was wrong. His ideas are still studied by people today.
