An iceberg is a big piece of ice.

It breaks off from a glacier. Most of the ice is under the water. Only a small part stays above the sea.

Icebergs can be many shapes. Some have flat tops like a table. Others have tall points. They can even be colorful. Some look blue, green, or black.

Icebergs can make sounds. Tiny air bubbles are trapped inside the ice. When the ice melts, the bubbles pop. This makes a fizzing sound.

Large icebergs can be dangerous for ships. People watch them to keep ships safe.
