Bhabha helped start many science groups in India. He was the first leader of the Indian Atomic Energy Commission. He helped start the Indian space program, too. Many people call him the "father of the Indian nuclear programme." He led the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. This group helped India learn about atomic power.
