This city was in a place we call Phoenicia. Some people say he ruled from 980 to 947 BC. Under his rule, Tyre grew into a very big trading center.

He even helped stop a rebellion in a far colony.

Hiram was a close friend to two kings in Israel. First, he helped King David build a palace in Jerusalem. Hiram sent cedar wood from the forests of Lebanon for this. Later, he helped King Solomon too. They made a special trade deal. Hiram sent workers, gold, and wood to help build a temple. In return, Solomon sent food like wheat, oil, and wine.

This trade helped both kings grow very rich. They even worked together to open new sea routes. This helped them reach places like Egypt and Arabia. A writer named Josephus said Hiram also made his own city bigger. He joined two islands to make more land for Tyre. He also built a royal palace and a temple there.
