These big frogs live near waterfalls. They live in Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.

Most live in wet forests near rivers.

These frogs eat many things. They are omnivorous, which means they eat both plants and animals. They like to eat insects and crabs. Larger frogs also eat fish and small mammals.

To raise babies, they build nests in the water. They can clear out old leaves from a pool. They can even dig new pools in the riverbank. They may move large stones to do this.

This hard work helps protect the eggs.

Baby frogs start as small tadpoles. They grow legs and lose their tails over 85 to 95 days. This change is called metamorphosis.

Today, these frogs are endangered. This means they are at risk of disappearing. People hunt them for food. They also lose their forest homes. Some frogs get sick from tiny worms in their blood. We must work to keep them safe.
