"text": "Ghazi ibn Faisal was a leader who served as the King of Iraq. He was born in Mecca on March 21, 1912. His father was Faisal I, who was a very important leader. Ghazi was the only son of Faisal and a woman named Huzaima bint Nasser. Because his father was away on military trips, Ghazi lived with his grandfather. His grandfather was Hussein bin Ali, a leader of the royal Hashemite family.

\n\nAs a young boy, Ghazi lived a very different life than a king. He attended a school called Harrow School. When he was sixteen, he had a very exciting experience. He met two travelers named Richard Halliburton and Moye Stephens. They flew him in a small biplane named the Flying Carpet. They flew low over his school so his friends could see him. They even flew over the old ruins of Ancient Babylon.

\n\nIn 1933, many big changes happened for Ghazi. His father, King Faisal I, passed away on September 8. On that same day, Ghazi became King Ghazi I. He was given many high titles in the Iraqi military. He became an Admiral in the navy and a Field Marshal in the army. He also became a Marshal in the air force. His time as king was filled with many difficult choices and tensions.

\n\nKing Ghazi had strong ideas about his country and its neighbors. He was a pan-Arab nationalist, which means he wanted Arab lands to be united. He even had his own radio station at the al-Zuhoor royal palace. He used this station to say that Kuwait should join Iraq. In 1934, he married his cousin, Princess Aliya bint Ali. They had one son together named Faisal II. They celebrated the birth of their son with a large party in 1935.

\n\nLife ended very suddenly for the young king. In April 1939, Ghazi died in a car accident. He was driving a sports car in Baghdad when the accident happened. He was only 27 years old at the time of his death.

His son, Faisal II, became the next king of Iraq. Because Faisal II was still a young child, a man named Prince Abdul Ilah helped lead the country. This helped the country stay stable until Faisal was old enough to rule on his own.",
