Some gardens are for learning about nature.

Different parts of the world have different styles. In China, early gardens were large parks. Some were for kings to hunt in. In Japan, gardens can be very simple. One type is a Zen garden. These use very few plants. In France, many gardens use a formal style. This means they use neat shapes and lines. This is different from English gardens. English gardens try to look natural. They let plants grow freely without being cut into shapes.
