Petrie worked with his wife, Hilda. They found many important sites. He also found a large stone called the Merneptah Stele. This stone was over ten feet tall. He found a statue of King Merneptah too. Petrie taught many people how to be archaeologists. He even helped train Howard Carter. Carter later found the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
