In the 1790s, Mary Wollstonecraft and Judith Sargent Murray spoke up. They believed education was the best way to help women. Later, John Neal wrote that women were not inferior to men. This helped bring these ideas to more people.

Many brave women fought for change. Sojourner Truth spoke about the rights of women of color. Susan B. Anthony spoke in court about unfair laws. She argued that women should have the same legal protections as men.

In 1949, Simone de Beauvoir wrote a famous book. She argued that women should be seen as full human beings. She wanted women to define themselves through how they live. Today, many people study how different identities overlap. This helps us understand fairness for everyone.
