You can make it from animal hair like wool. Some people use fibers from plants or man-made materials too.

Felt is one of the oldest ways to make cloth. People in ancient times used it for many things. In parts of Asia, nomads use felt to make homes. These homes are called yurts.

You use hot water and motion to make hairs hook together. Some makers even use animals like camels to help roll the felt.

Another way is needle felting. This uses special needles with tiny notches. These needles tangle the fibers to make shapes. Artists use this to make small dolls or even paintings.
