In 1921, she opened her own restaurant in Lyon. She later opened a second restaurant in a wooden chalet. This place was at the Col de la Luère. She did not like fancy food. She liked simple food made with the best parts. In 1933, she became the first chef to earn six Michelin stars. She earned three stars for each of her two restaurants. This was a very big deal. No one else reached this level for sixty-four years. She also taught many great cooks. Some of them became very famous. Her recipes were even put into a book. People still eat her classic dishes today.
