These systems help make things. They decide what to make and how. They also help move things to you. This helps everyone get what they need.

Every system must answer four big questions. First, what things should we make? Second, how should we make them? Third, how do we share them? Fourth, when should we make them?

Some systems use a market. In a market, people buy and sell. Other systems use a plan. In a plan, a group decides for everyone. Many lands use a mix of both. This mix helps people get what they want.

Systems can also be different ways to own things. Some people own things on their own. In other ways, the state owns things. This helps decide how things are used. People work together in many ways.

Learning about these systems is very interesting. They show how the whole world works.
