Watson lived at 221B Baker Street. This was the home he shared with Sherlock Holmes. They became very close friends there. Watson also served in the British Army. He saw service in the Second Anglo-Afghan War. During the war, he was wounded by a bullet. He also had a fever. After the war, he met Holmes through a friend. Watson is much more than just a friend. He is also the biographer for Holmes. A biographer is a person who writes about someone's life. Watson wrote down the stories of Holmes's cases. He wanted people to know about his friend's skill. Sometimes Holmes thought Watson's stories were too romantic. Holmes wanted only cold facts and figures. Still, Watson kept writing the tales. Today, people see Watson in movies, games, and radio shows.
