Direct selling

technology Maturity 11-13 Next article →

Direct selling is a way to sell things. It does not happen in a big store. Instead, people buy goods from a main company. Then, they sell those goods to other people. This often happens face to face. Sellers might visit a home or a job. They may also use social media to sell. Some sellers use the internet to reach customers. There are two main ways this works. The first way is single-level marketing. In this way, a person makes money from their own sales. The second way is multi-level marketing. In this way, a person makes money from their own sales too. They can also earn a commission. A commission is a small part of the money made from a sale. They earn this when they help new sellers start. These new sellers are called sponsors. This business can use many different plans. Some use one-on-one demonstrations to show how things work. Others use a party plan to sell goods. It is a way to connect people with products.
