He was born in a small town in the Russian Empire. Later, he moved to New York City. He started as a young office boy. He worked hard and learned about new technology.

Sarnoff had a big dream for radio. Most people used radio to talk to just one person. Sarnoff wanted one person to speak to many people at once. He called this a "radio music box." This idea helped start the first radio network, NBC.

Farnsworth. This was to settle a legal fight over who made the invention. In 1939, Sarnoff helped start the first regular TV broadcasts. He was also a brigadier general in the Signal Corps.
