Making a film involves many different steps and people. Boyle often works closely with writers to build a vision. He says a film is a director's vision. This means he brings all the different parts together. He does not usually write the scripts himself. Instead, he uses the writer's words to guide the actors and cameras. He also works with producers to manage the project. This teamwork helps turn an idea into a movie we can watch.

Boyle's journey began in a working-class family in England.
