Many historical records were also burnt. The current old town was organized in the late 14th century. This happened under the Hongwu Emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Tourism is now a major part of the local economy. The city is an official tourist destination in China. Many visitors come to see the natural scenery and cultural heritage.
