This article covers sensitive topics: evolution. Parents can manage visibility in Parental Controls.

Living things can change together over a long time. Scientists call this coevolution. This happens when two or more species affect each other's growth. Each group puts pressure on the other to change. This can create a helpful team or a race to stay ahead.

Some species work together in a way called mutualism. This means both sides get something good.

For example, flowers and insects have worked together for 100 million years. Flowers use scents to tell bugs they are near. They also use bright colors and patterns to guide insects to food. In return, the insects help the plants by moving pollen.

Birds also help plants grow. Some flowers are red or orange to attract birds. These flowers often make more nectar. This sweet juice gives birds the power they need to fly. The shape of the flower might even fit a bird's beak perfectly.

Other pairs are very close. An acacia ant might guard a tree from pests. The tree gives the ant food and a safe home. This close bond helps both species survive.
