This huge building was finally completed in 1710.

Wren's work involved many different skills and steps. He studied architecture in Paris in 1665 to learn new ideas. He looked at the drawings of a great Italian artist named Bernini. After the Great Fire, he submitted plans to King Charles II. While he was the Surveyor of Works, he helped rebuild the city. He personally oversaw the rebuilding of many churches.
