You can also visit St. Martin's Island. It is the only coral reef in the country.

The division is split into different parts. There are eleven districts called zilas in this area. These districts are then split into 100 smaller sub-districts. A river called the Feni River flows through the land. It marks a line between two main sections. The north-western part holds most of the people. The south-eastern part covers most of the land. This south-eastern area includes the Chittagong Hill Tracts. These hills include the districts of Khagrachhari, Rangamati, and Bandarban.

This area has a long history. It was first made as a division in 1829. It served as a headquarters for five eastern districts. The Chittagong District was the main center back then. In 1960, the Tippera district was given a new name. It became the Comilla District. Later, in 1984, many new districts were created. This happened by splitting up the original five districts. In 1995, the Sylhet Division was also formed from this area.

Many people live in the Chittagong Division. In 2022, the population was 33,202,326 people.

The population density is 979 people for every square kilometer. Most people there are Muslims. Other groups include Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians.

Learning about this place helps us understand Bangladesh. It shows how large areas are managed by governments. We can see how rivers like the Feni River shape land. We can also see how cities and hills live side by side. The division links the sea to the high hills. It is a place of many different people and places.
