Bram Cohen is a computer programmer from America. He grew up in New York City. He learned to code when he was only five years old. He was very good at math in school.

In 2001, he made a new way to share files. He called this the BitTorrent protocol. A protocol is a set of rules for computers to talk. Before BitTorrent, files often came from just one source. This could be very slow. BitTorrent lets a user download a file from many sources at once. This makes the download much faster. The more people use a file, the faster it moves.

Cohen also helped start a company called Chia Network. It uses a system called proof of space-time. This is a way to make a cryptocurrency. A cryptocurrency is a type of digital money. Chia tries to use less power than other digital money.

Bram Cohen has won many awards. He was named one of the most influential people by Time magazine. He also likes to make puzzles. He can even juggle five balls at once!
