The Brahmo Samaj is a group of people. They meet to pray together. They believe in one God. This God made the whole world.

Two men started this group in 1828. Their names were Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Dwarkanath Tagore. They lived in a place called Calcutta.

This group wants to be fair to everyone. They do not care about caste. They welcome all kinds of people.

They also work to help people. They want to stop bad customs. They want to help people live better lives.

Many people still follow these ideas today. It is a very important group in India.
