Qin studied in Russia at a special school. There, he joined a group called the 28 Bolsheviks. This group wanted to lead the Chinese revolution. Soon, Qin became a top leader. He was even the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.

During this time, the group faced many hard trials. They lost power in the cities. This led to a very long trip called the Long March. The leaders made choices that caused many people to die. Because of this, other leaders took more control.

Later, Qin worked with news. He helped run the Xinhua News Agency. He also helped with peace talks in 1946. On his way home, his plane crashed in Shanxi. Many leaders died in the crash, including Qin. He was only 39 years old.
