She led her team to two huge victories in the World Cup. These wins happened in 1997 and 2005. Clark is also known for her amazing scoring skills. She was the very first player to score a double century in a One Day International. This is a type of cricket match where each team has a set number of balls to play. Her talent made her a true pioneer for women in the sport.

Playing cricket required great focus and skill. Clark often hit the ball with strength to score many runs. In 1997, she had a very special year of scoring. She made 970 runs in that single year. This was a record for the most runs in one year for women. During a match against Denmark, she scored 229 runs without being out. This was her famous double century. She also helped her teammates by forming long partnerships. One such partnership with Joanne Broadbent reached 167 runs. These moments helped Australia win many important games.

Belinda's journey started in Newcastle, New South Wales. Her father, Allan, was a teacher and a cricketer. Her mother, Margaret, was a champion tennis player.
