She was born on February 6, 1577, to Ersilia Santacroce and Count Francesco Cenci. Her father was a very wealthy man with a violent temper. He treated his family very poorly, and Beatrice suffered from repeated abuse. She tried to tell the authorities about his behavior, but they did not act. This lack of help led to a very dark time for her family.

In 1598, Beatrice and her family decided to take action against her father. They lived in the Palazzo Cenci in Rome and owned a castle called La Rocca of Petrella Salto. Beatrice, her siblings, and her stepmother, Lucrezia Petroni, organized a secret plan. They used two helpers to drug the Count during a stay at the castle. Then, the family members used a hammer to kill him. They threw his body off a balcony to make it look like an accident.

The plan did not stay secret for long. The papal police began to investigate the death of the Count. They used torture to get confessions from those they suspected. Eventually, the police discovered the truth about the family's plot. Beatrice, her brother Giacomo, her sister Antonina, and her stepmother Lucrezia were all arrested. They were found guilty of murder and sentenced to death by the law.

The execution took place on September 11, 1599, at the Sant'Angelo Bridge in Rome. Many people in the city felt sorry for Beatrice and protested the decision. However, Pope Clement VIII decided to move forward with the punishments. Giacomo was killed first, followed by Lucrezia and then Beatrice. They were all beheaded with a small axe. Only the youngest brother, 12-year-old Bernardo, was spared from death.
