The Auschwitz Album is a book of 193 photos.

It shows life at a camp in Poland. This happened during the Second World War. The photos show Jewish people from Hungary arriving at the camp. They came on trains in the spring and summer of 1944.

Camp workers took the photos. They wanted to show how the camp worked. The images show a process called selection. Doctors and guards chose who would work. They also chose who would be killed in gas chambers. The album also shows items taken from prisoners. These items were kept in storage areas.

A woman named Lili Jacob found the album. She was a survivor of the camp. She found it in a cupboard at a different camp. She saw her own family in the pictures. This was a very big surprise. The album is now at a museum in Israel. It is kept at Yad Vashem. These photos help us learn about the past.
