Asiya was a very kind woman. She lived a long time ago. She was the wife of a ruler named Pharaoh.

One day, she found a baby in the river. The baby was named Moses. Asiya loved him like her own son. She helped him grow up in her home.

Asiya had many riches. But she was not proud. She believed in one God. She kept this belief a secret from her husband.

Later, the Pharaoh found out about her faith. He was very angry. Because she would not change her mind, he punished her. She died for what she believed.

Many people think she was a great woman. Muslims honor her today. She is a special example for others.
