A man named Sophocles wrote it. It tells a story from a land called Thebes.

A girl named Antigone has a hard choice. Her brother died in a fight. The new king, Creon, says she cannot bury him.

Antigone wants to honor her brother. She breaks the king's rule to help him. She thinks family is more important than laws.

Because she breaks the rule, she gets in trouble. The play shows how one choice can change a whole family. It is a famous story about being brave.
