Aladdin uses the lamp to become very rich. He even marries a princess named Badroulbadour. Her name means "full moon of full moons."

A mean sorcerer tries to steal the lamp back. Aladdin uses a magic ring to help him. He eventually wins and becomes a ruler.

People tell many versions of this tale. Some stories take place in the Middle East. Other versions use different magic items, like a ring or a blue light. Many people around the world still love this story today.
