WATT is a radio station in Cadillac, Michigan. It shares news, talk, and sports. It began on September 30, 1945. This was the first station in Cadillac. It used the frequency of 1240 kHz.

Les Biederman started the station. He was a leader in radio. He also started WTCM in Traverse City. WATT was part of the Paul Bunyan Network. This was a group of small stations. They gave news and fun to Northern Michigan. In its early years, WATT used 250 watts of power. It was an NBC Radio Network affiliate. This means it shared national shows with the county.

In the 1970s, Biederman sold the station. Kenneth MacDonald Sr. bought it. He also bought a sister station called WLXV. He also bought properties in Petoskey. In 1998, the family business changed. The station went to a new group. This group is MacDonald-Garber Broadcasting. Patricia MacDonald-Garber leads this group.
