Theoretical chemistry is a special way to study science.

Scientists use math and physics to learn about chemicals. They want to know how tiny parts work together. They look at the shape of a molecule. A molecule is a group of atoms joined together. They also study how these parts move. This is called chemical dynamics.

One big part is quantum chemistry. This uses quantum mechanics to solve problems. Quantum mechanics is a set of rules for tiny things. Scientists also use computers for their work. This is called computational chemistry. Computers can help guess the shape of a molecule. They can also show how a molecule shakes.

Some people use a way called molecular modelling. This helps with drug design. It can also help with making new crops. This work helps us make better products. It also helps us understand how heat and power work. This field helps many other types of science too. It helps us learn about tiny machines and biology.
