It is the home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. People say it has some of the best sound in the world. This is because of its smart design.

Architects built the hall in a long, narrow shape. We call this a "shoebox" shape. The walls slope inward to help the sound reach every seat. Even the ceiling helps the music travel well. The hall has many seats for a large crowd. It can hold 2,625 people.

Inside, you can see many beautiful things. There are sixteen statues of Greek and Roman figures on the walls. You can also see the name of the composer Beethoven over the stage. The hall has a very big organ. This organ has 4,800 pipes. It was updated in 1949 to make the music sound clear. In 2006, workers replaced the wooden stage floor. They used the same hard maple wood as the old floor. They even used hand-cut nails to keep the sound exactly the same.
